Any information with over 51% confidence (Preponderance of evidence - More likely than not) will be included in the report with the client’s written waiver confirming their understanding that research is conducted online and can not be completely verified. All confidence ratings are subjective and assigned by a human using the totality of the investigator’s experience and body of evidence from the case. Investigations of this kind do as much to rule out claims and erroneous data as they do to gather high-confidence data. No two cases are alike and therefore must be quoted differently. At DetectiGators we are transparent and will advise you when quotes are likely going to change.

Tier 1

Establishes identity. It is best to have as much information about the subject as possible. Such as:

Picture showing the subject’s face, usernames, emails, real name, Alias or nickname, approximate age, or a specific date of birth, current and former addresses, Businesses or job titles, and location.

We cannot accept some cases because the amount of work required to confirm the subject based on limited information/data makes the case cost-prohibitive. On the other hand if a person has all of the above information, the Tier 1 fee can be waived, and the investigation can quickly proceed to Tier 2.

Once the subject is confirmed to a level that the client is comfortable with, we can proceed with tier 2. There will be cases where we can provide evidence that the subject is not who they claim they are, and the client wants to discontinue any further research or the client simply wishes to confirm a person is the name they claim to be.

Tier 2

Basic search engine returns - Anything that can be located on the subject using only advanced search engine operators on Yandex, Baidu, and Google.

Paid/Premium Database returns: Anything that can be located on the subject on these databases is then looped back into search engine searches.

Basic social media returns: Using the first two searches usually yields additional e-mails and phone numbers to check against discrete social media profiles.

Sex offender search: Using multiple databases, sometimes in other countries.

Basic court search: May include Arrests, Misdemeanor and Felony convictions, Child paternity cases, divorce cases, small claims, etc.

Tier 2 offers little to no data about other subjects in the target subjects network, including; Spouses, parents, children, colleagues, neighbors, friends, etc. For this information Tier 3 is required.

Tier 3

Tier 3 backgrounds are recommended for research subjects with longer and more complicated histories and higher-risk or more curious clients and subjects. This tier includes a deeper dive into all legally obtainable data about the subject and their personal network.
